Morning.
I've got my first few events booked in, had a good few chats with Rett UK and learnt a lot about them already. Every who has donated has already has been extremely generous and hopefully it will go along way to helping and raising awareness for the charity.
So far the training hasn't been going to0 badly. I ran just under 18 miles on Saturday morning up on the downs exploring some new routes. I had one mile where I felt completely cream crackered running along the slippy river back home - where 2 hours earlier the mud was frozen it had since rained, warmed up and got very muddy again. That made for a pretty miserable mile. But other than that it was a- ok. I love running up on the downs, lost in my mind and the slight panic that I might be lost or turn a corner and be confronted by a cow. Certainly a good way to escape day to day life and relax.
I'm not sure if my legs are quite up to the challenge of running the Steyning Stinger as a marathon in a few weeks - I think the main goal will be to complete the Moyelman two weeks later and I'll use the stinger as a practise half to get me good and ready for what is to come.
I'm really looking forward to donning my bright green Rett UK t-shirt and spreading the word.
Hopefully future posts will be more exciting than this one.
